Hi all :
I'm currunlty working on my graduate project and its about controlling
the mouse using your eye , the only thing that i need to do this
project is a cam with a hiegh resultion so i can catch the eye
movement and and determin the mouse location according to it. i need
to know if any one have any idea about performing a vedio processing
in order to determine the eye movement. and if any one have better
idea please tell me .

thank you very much

"the only thing that i need to do this project is a cam with a hiegh resultion so i can catch the eye movement and and determin the mouse location according to it".

You're practically finshed. You ought to be able to wrap it up in a day or two.

Seriously, you're in the wrong place looking for help. The coding is the smallest part of your project. Pattern and motion detection of an object is challenging both theoretically and practically. You need to find most of the components for your project readily available and integrated.

thanks alot for this replyment ... but can you explain what you mean by "theoretically and practically" , I really did alot of research about this and I finished the second documentation , what I want to do know is writing the Code for it , I read alot of Algorithms about Real Time Video processing but the problem was its hard to implement them in .Net or I don't have that big experemns in .NET ...so I'm looking for help here and for new ideas .. thank you again and I hope that u can help again

Have you implemented the algorithms in any language I don't think one person can do what you are attempting to do in the time you have allocated.

no .. I have a partner and we working on this project for more than 40 days ... we read from the cam ... we take a copmlete live video show ..and you know how .. just a picturebox , you read from the cam that is connect to the PC through the USB port and you delver what you read in the picture box ..so now you can see your face on the Form , we make another project in order to control the mouse movements , its a simple project. you just enter the X value and the Y value and then click move and the mouse will move to that location on the screen , if there is a folder the mouse will click it , now we need to connect this project together and that by scanning the video that we read from the cam and according to that we send the XY values a process that wait them . I was thinking that we must do a scanning process using thread "process that work in the background" but what we didn't understand how we will determine the moving object in the face , you know we must consider the time , we think about talking images and compare them together but that is usless sice you will consume the memory so the best way is to make what we call Real Time Video Processing (RTVP) and we really didn't know how to make it .. or from where to start in doing this ..............what you think

All you need to know is where the face's eyes are looking! When you got that you have your X and Y.

I know that ..and believe me its not easy to know where the eye are looking using .NET ... or I don't know how to start in that using the .NET

I have a sample of face and eye tracking but the problem is it's depend the light condition. im using visual basic net. but theres a lot of example regarding face detection but it's written in C language. you need to research regarding that matters it cost lot of time to study that kind of algorithm and process.

ho my God ... thank you very very much .. I think this sample might help me in my project ,I need to talk with you my friend and disccuss some issues that I face , that only if you have time , really that thanks . my email is

just2_ana@hotmail.com please I'm online there , and if its possible I like to see this samples

thank you Anjo
