This is an error message I get when I try to start my current project.

Before that, I had a message saying that VB had not shut properly previously and it needed to recover some files. I'm pretty sure that the project was closed properly before but I sadi yes anyway. Now, whenever I try to open the project, I get the error message that VB has to shut down and it closes.

This must be a VB problem as the solution was running fine before. Any idea on a possible fix I'll be really disappointed if I have to start all over again :(

Use Search. There was a long discussion of the shutdown message in the VB IDE forum.

I've had a similar IDE crash problem. The trouble is that VBE is unsupported and I don't know how VBE fits into packages like SP1. I doubt that it is supported.

Visual Studio 2005 SP1 has been released for the Express editions too. Follow the link on the RSS feed of the Startup page of VB Express 2005 to get it. Read carefully the Download page to make sure you get the file(s) that you need.
