Hey all, was wandering if anyone has any ideas about icons. My problem is this:

I have finished my program and created an icon for it using iconworkshop. Within VB Express I added an icon to my form however this only adds the icon to the top of the form. I want an icon for the desktop as well. Does this have to be programmed in I thought it might have been as simple as right clicking the app and selecting change icon but this option is not there. Any help once again would be greatly appreciated.

If you open the Properties of your project you should find the possbility to associate an icon to the program.

Thanks for your response marco.ragogna. I found the icon property, however this seems to only put an icon on the top of the form and when you minimize it the icon is visible in the tray. What Im looking for is how to enter an icon that you see when the program is sitting on the desktop unopened. The icon you click on to open the program. Any ideas on how to sort that Thanks!!

An icon contains more than one image. You probably only made the image for the 16x16 icon. In the IDE Icon editor choose Image + Current Icon Image Types to switch to your 32x32 icon. Or choose New Image Type if it isn't there.

Thanks for your reply nobugz. I worked out my error - I was adding the icon to the properties section of my Form not the properties of my overall page. The Form section only adds a small icon to the top of the form and when it is minimized. The page properties add the icon for the desktop. Thanks for all your help today!
