Hi!

I work with VS 2005 Professional Edition in the work, and now i installed the VS 2005 Express Edition in my home ... but ... where is the Debug and Release options to build :P

I can see the bin\Release and bin\Debug, when i compile, make a Debug and when i build make a Release but ... can i config it like the professional edition

You should be able to edit the debug and release configuration through solution/project properties.

You should also be able to select which configuration to use through one of the toolbars, menu options, or inside the project properties.

Check if you have the Build + Configuration Manager menu item.

No, i haven't it.

The configuration manager combobox toolbar is disable in all projects that i start with VS2005 Express Edition. But, if i open a project started with VS2005 Professional Edition i can see the solution manager.

I don't understand it.

In the options, there is a checkbox on the bottom of the options dialog, "Show all settings" or something like that. If you check that, you should be able to see all the options. Now there was a page called Projects and solutions, and there you can check "Show advanced build configurations". If you check that, you should be able to change the build mode to release, as you can in Visual Studio 2005.
