Programs listed in the registry key hkey_local_machine -> software -> microsoft -> windows -> current version -> run will start with windows.

If it is a background process and you wanted to start even if you have not log on to your system, you can create a Windows Service for your program. Your windows service will start with all other service which will run your program too.

Don't really understand that...Please explain it more easily please

You need to provide the path of your executable file in run by going into registry.

this will start your application automatically when windows start.

The registry path should be as follows

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run

Hope this helps you.

I don't know what that path means

- "HKLM\SOFTWARE"

The registry is one method and if you do not have the experience or expertise to open and edit the registry then......another is to place a shortcut for your program in the all users satrtup directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Go to Start>Run

Type regedit

Press enter [This will open registry editor]

Navigate to following path "My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run"

Here you can add your application and it will start

Note: HKLM is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Be careful when working with registry...

This is totally unecessary. You can start an assembly at boot time with the windows task scheduler with a very fine control granulaity.

How do I add the shortcut/application to ...

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run

... to make it run

AND

Is it possible to have the application add it self to there at first load
