Hi

I am a newbie and I wonder if VC++ 5.0 Express supports using far an near pointer as with borland compiler. If not is there another way to access a memory address. I wanted to make a program that read the SMBIOS (address 000F0000) structure entries

Any Idea please

Thanks

All VC++ pointers are 32 bit in x86, and 64 in x64, and they all address something within the virtual memory space of an application. To access specific areas, not in use by your application, you need to build a kernel driver.

Hi

Thanks for replying. I wonder if you know some web links about windows kernel driver programming. I searched that using google. I found only superficial.

Thanks a lot
