Hello,

I am implementing a tool to display all characters of a font set. I wonder if there is a programmatic way to query the range of valid characters For example, the range of "Wingdings" is 0x20 to 0xff while some other unicode sets may have thousands of characters.

Thanks a lot.

Sean

Re: Visual C++ General How to get the valid code range of characters for a font set?

Simple Samples

That is a Windows programming question. The answer is probably in the documentation somewhere and most Windows programmers would not have any need to find the answer. There might even be a Windows SDK sample program that does that.

Hi Sean,

You can enumerate the installed fonts for the codepage they supports. The codepage of the font can help you determine the range of the characters.
