hello,

i have a list control with two columns.

Employee Name Salary

-----------------------------------------------------------

Michael 5000

Tony 4000

i want to make the employee name column as readonly and Salary column as editable.

i.e. user can edit the value present in the salary column,

how can i do this. can it be done using the list control properties only

Simple Samples

If you only need one column editable then the solution is probably easy. The first (left-most) column is editable except I think you need to set a flag to enable the left-most column to be editable. Also, it is possible to re-arrange the columns so that the column Windows considers to be left-most is not shown left-most. If that cannot be used, then look at the articles in CodeProject and CodeGuru and many other sites.
