exception break point
a break point has been reached.
(oX80000003) occured in application at location 0X77fa144b.

click on ok to terminate the program.

click on cancel to debug the program.

in vc++5.0 os windows xp


i am getting this error...in my applicatiom program..kindly reply me to solve this error..

Well...click on 'Cancel' which should open the debugger...once open it should point you to the location of the problem (0x77fa144b). Take a look at the callstack and trace it up to the first occurrence of one of your own functions...then start looking at pointer addresses, variables etc.

I am sorry, the question does say "in vc++5.0" so you are correct; it is a question from a developer. So yes, looking at the call stack is probably the first thing to do.

It has been a few years since I used VC 5 but I did use it and it is still installed in my system. I forget what "break point" means but there is probably a source code line at which the break point occurs and it is probably not part of you program; it is probably part of MFC code or C runtime code. If you need help then it will likely be important to post information about the source code line that produces the break point.
