    - Visual Studio Visual Studio 2005 (Non Express) comes with a snapshot of the SDK at the time it was released. The version with it is roughly Windows Server 2003 so it doesn't include support for the newer versions of Windows. I looked at the SP1 version and that is also doesn't have support for the newer versions. If you want to write an application to use features in the newer versions of Windows then you will need to download the latest version of the Windows SDK.     - Problem that ends the program (Vector.h from STD) First of all you should make sure that you include vector , not vector.h . The STL headers are not postfixed with 'h'. As for the code, while(siSprite != m_vSprites.end()) { delete (*siSprite); siSprite = m_vSprites.erase(siSprite); } will be sufficient to do what you want, since erase will return the next item in the sequence, and finally .end() when the last item has been erased. Because of the name injection that happens with nested classes (they inherit the outer names), they are able to access both types and static members in the enclosing class -- even private ones. Most recent compilers implement this.     - Project with Multiple Targets I just made a separate project for example1.cpp, compiling against the static library. It works! :-) The process is semi-involved: 0. Create an empty project 1. Add a source file. 2. Add a define. 3. Set a dependence. 4. Add a library directory. 5. Build. However, there are nearly 30 different example programs which are waiting to be made. I don't want to have to do those 5 steps 30 times, especially since the configuration for each of the 30 projects is exactly the same (they all share the same #define, dependency, and library directory). Ideally, I'd like to have a project that simply builds all of them together in one project. Barring that, is there some way to clone a project All that really needs to be done is the source code filename needs to change. Other than that, the projects would be all clones of each other. And if I can't have that, is there a way to set the #define and library directory at the solution level and have it inherited by all the projects I know it must be do-able.     - Bug in VC8 SP1's security cookie system VC8's security cookie system (/GS) is designed to not fail in the event of __security_init_cookie being called. However, there is a 1 in 4294967295 chance that it will fail if called twice on an x86-32 program. This code from gs_support.c tries to prevent a second __security_init_cookie call from changing the cookie. On x86-32, it needs to remake the cookie if the module loader in XP put zero in the high word, so that the cookie is more secure. if (__security_cookie != DEFAULT_SECURITY_COOKIE #if defined (_X86_) && (__security_cookie & 0xFFFF0000) != 0 #endif /* defined (_X86_) */ ) { __security_cookie_complement = ~__security_cookie; return ; } If that high word is zero, it will reinitialize the cookie on its own. Later in the code, it tries to prevent a randomly-generated cookie from being DEFAULT_SECURITY_COOKIE or having a high word of zero, because if __security_init_cookie were called again, the above code would cause the cookie to be reinitialized. The code looks like this: if (cookie == DEFAULT_SECURITY_COOKIE) { cookie = DEFAULT_SECURITY_COOKIE + 1; } #if defined (_X86_) else if ((cookie & 0xFFFF0000) == 0) { cookie |= cookie << 16; } #endif /* defined (_X86_) */ There is a flaw in the x86-32 logic here. It tries to prevent the cookie having a high word of zero by ORing the high word with the low word. However, if the generated cookie is entirely zero, the cookie will remain zero, and a subsequent call to __security_init_cookie will set it to something else. In a program that calls __security_init_cookie twice, which would occur in a program that needs to override the entry point, /GS will falsely detect a buffer overflow under certain conditions. The "#include" preprocessor directive lets you include header files, which will give you access to the functions/classes/etc. they provide. So to use strlen, you must put "#include <cstring>" at the top of your program, which will give access to several useful functions that work on c-style strings ( http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/clibrary/cstring/ ). Note that C strings must be NULL terminated ( with the NULL '\0' character ) for strlen to work ( the compiler NULL terminates a string for you when you do something like "char str[] = "string";", though ). Or, if you wanted to impress your teacher, and you know about loops, you could implement your own strlen() type function.     - Can't download Platform SDK This is actually not a programming problem; I think it is no different from problems downloading other software. So try asking in a newsgroup or forum for Internet Explorer non-development support. Note that the Windows (Platform) SDK is available on DVD (CD-ROM ) for free except for shipping. It will take a couple of weeks or more but you will at least have it. The problem of downloading is of course something you should resolve and I sure understand that you want to do that. Check to ensure that the problem is not that pop-ups are blocked. I think the downloads use pop-ups and if they are blocked then the downloads will not work. I do have problems downloading using IE but not in the manner you are experiencing. When I am unable to downlaod something using IE I use a freeware utility called wget. It works nearly every time but it is a command-line program and it's options are confusing. If you can figure out the options then wget is likely to work even if IE does not.     - Question about programming in C for windows... I see two problems. First, you need to use escape codes for every '\' you have. Second, I had a couple errors until I made the string UNICODE (Visual Studios makes your application UNICODE by default). Note that even if you use relative paths you need to move both the project and the files and keep the same "relativeness" between them. Hi All,
I want to upload and download file using HTTP.
plz help me how to do this one.

in my code when i trying to connect with a device in wired network it will work without any problem.
at the same time when i try to connect with a device in a wireless network it wont work i dont know whats the problem(with error no 12152).
any one plz help me out.

1 more thing, when i upload to a wired device in the http header i saw 1 authentication tag but this tag missed in uploading a file to wireless device.
