Hello,

My application connects to a second application (we call the 'server') through a TCP-IP port for transferring data to and from a motion control device we manufacture. When I start my application, the 'server' must already be launched. How can I determine from my application that the server is already up and running

Hi,

R u using sockets if not ignore this post and let me the way of ur communication with server.

If u r, when u try to connect the client socket, it should fail indicating server not listening.Is this not happening

Which version of VC u r using
