Hello ,

I am unable to create a valid redist package for my application developped with VS2005 c++ SP1.

I read all i found on the net about this problem and try everything but get always the same message in Debug:

In french:

Code Snippet
Cette application n'as pas pu demarrer car la configuration de l'application est incorrecte. Reinstallerl'application pourrait resoudre le probleme

Approximatly translated:

Code Snippet

this application can not start because its configuration is incorrect: Reinstall this application could solve the problem.

In release, i get an application problem in modName:Unknown

I tried :

- install the VC Redist from the VS BootStrapper

- install the VC Redist SP1 from the net

- create a setup install with VS

and it change nothing.

I copy a valid directory from my dev PC which contains all the dll the app need but it is exactly the same.

I really would like to be able to give my client their application without having to install VS studio on their computer.

Is there a way

Thanks in advance.

Re: Visual C++ General Problem to redist an application developed with VS2005 c++ SP1

Ted.

are you sure you are building a "release" version of your product Maybe you are trying to give the "debug" version. if you have the release version then the VC Redist will work for sure.

non SP1 version
