hi,

I've been advised to consider wrapping my Visual Studio C++ dll in COM.. never used COM before. The Visual Studio DLL (the one to be wrapped) is to be used within a CBUILDER 6 environment from Borland. Could anybody give me a starting point. Is there a tutorial out there or a doc I could start with. No idea where to start.

thanks for any help

Graham

If you have .net available, the easiest thing to do would be wrap it in a .net class and then allow COM interop. You then only have to worry about the BCB side of things.
If not, the only thing you can do is look at books. Essential COM by Don Box is probably the best one you can get, there is also Inside OLE by Kraig Brockschmidt.
The only option other than those is to google. COM is not an easy thing to get in to at all, and it will keep you going for some time.
