    - install sp1,then IDE error I have the same problem but can't uninstall the service pack because another part of the solution needs it to build. No one in our group is able to build the C++ project after the service pack. I was not able to create a new C++ project either.     - How to see the output of the pre-compiler Hi all, I have used LabWindows/CVI quite much. Although it is a terrible compiler, it has one pretty good option. You can view the output generated by the precompiler. Meaning, all include files are inserted and precompiler defines are taken into account.     - invalid or corrupt file: duplicate COMDAT error encountered while migrating to Visual Studio 2005 I have a solution comprising of some 20+ projects, which I am trying to migrate to VS2005 (I was using VS2002).     - Loop misalignment I'm not exactly certain what problem you are seeing here. There are reasons why you may want to align loops on cache line or instruction prefetch buffer boundaries. However, you shouldn't see huge performance degradation for any but the smallest loops, however unrolling should make a big difference there. These things depend heavily on the specific processor in use. As I understand VC focuses on best performance across IA-32, rather than trying to get optimal performance for a specific CPU (also see the /G switches family). Can you show us some code (both source and ASM) I guess, you might want to use SSE instructions which should also make the instruction prefetch impact smaller. At Intel we used to have a mechanism to specialize functions for a given CPU type (__declspec(cpu_dispatch) & __declspec(cpu_specific), IIRC). You could do the same thing manually with VC, but then there are little to no CPU-specific optimizations in VC (instruction scheduling and selection would probably be interesting for your case). That means that only that function can use it. To use it in other functions either pass it by parameter (preferred) or make it global, or make it a static member of a class. I guess the answer to your question is that I am using Win32 API calls embedded in MFC. Hope this is the right information The programme is up and running but currently uses a very clumsy method of selecting varaibles for plotting and would like to improve this. If each line has the same amount of chars (whitespace or otherwise) prior to the number, just read them all off the stream before parsing the number. Otherwise your options are to read until you hit a number (and you're sure it's a number not attached to the name), or use a regex library to split the lines apart properly. www.boost.org has a good regex implementation, should you wish to follow that path. In this case how does the graphics object knows about the Visible region of the window. It does knows that other wise how does it can implement GetVisibleClipBounds function. The MFC uses DllMain to do initialisation of the MFC for you to use so you need to make sure you don't use MFC. This happens when you create an MFC dll. If that is what you meant to do then you should remember that you can't use the DllMain entry point function since the MFC uses it, but you use other things to do the initialisation.     - VS2005 / corrupt solution file / References to non existing projects Hi, I have a problem with a number of VS2005 solution files (converted from VS2003). The solution builds but VS keeps updating the solution file which requires a check-out etc. The problem is caused as far as I can see by references to non existing projects! The solution files have references (GUIDs) to project files in the GlobalSection(ProjectConfigurationPlatforms). However some of the references are not listed at the top of the solution file and I cannot find (text search) any project file with such a GUID. If I remove the references then VS adds new references (again to non existing projects). The solution we have contains both vcproj files but also icproj (Intell compiler) with nested vcproj files. It's really the same question again - if my nodes are unmanaged classes, how can I return/wrap these in an efficient manner What you could do is write native C++ code for the container itself, including all time-critical operations and native memory handling, and follow up by creating a middle tier in C++/CLI. In the C++/CLI code you can call into the native container to insert / extract data, utilize the container management functions (e.g. sort), and so forth. I still doubt that this question makes sense with Visual C++ IDE linker and compilers but still it is about a third party product.

i went onto the regcure site and had my pc scanned then they asked me to take out a subcription for $50 i submitted no and my new pc went off PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SITE .if anyone can tell me how to report this site i would be most gratefull i still cant get my new pc to work.
