I'm getting started with VSTO, and wanting to modify left nav folders. In a general sense, will the customizations made to Outlook 2007 client be easily converted/usable with OWA It is just that web apps are always quite different than clients.

Thanks.

None of the customizations will be applicable or convertible to OWA in any way. They're two totally separate applications, one client, one server.

So I can modify the outlook client interface (e.g. adding some folders) using VSTO.

And would it be correct to say the VSTO tool is not used in any way to modify the OWA interface

And if yes to above, what tool would I use to modify OWA interface

Thanks again.

I wouldn't consider adding some folders to be a modification of the client interface. That's a change to the data being stored and, thus, would be reflected in OWA if the folders are in the Exchange mailbox.

Correct: VSTO has nothing to do with OWA. Exchange development docs start at http://msdn.microsoft.com/exchange/ with discussions in the microsoft.public.exchange.development newsgroup.
