I'm creating a document using VSTO. Internally I want there to be a task pane that allows you to quickly carry out various tasks quickly.

However, once the document is complete I want to then e-mail it to a client (where the plugin will not be present). Is there a way to supress the error message saying "Assembly could not be found" on the clients machine. I dont mind how it is done, whether I can export the contents of the document or whether the document can be made to behave accordingly depending whether the plugin code is present or not.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Take a look at Document.RemoveCustomization API.
