Hello

I have a question regarding user properties and MAPIFolder object. In the Outlook 2007 object model I can do something like this,

Outlook.MAPIFolder folder = explorer.CurrentFolder;

folder.UserDefinedProperties.Add("myUP",Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.OlUserPropertyType.olNumber, missing, missing);

In the Outlook 2003 object model I do not have that possibility, (no folder.UserDefinedProperties property). What is the best way to attach custom properties to a folder in Outlook 2003

This is more of an Outlook programming question than a VSTO one. I'd suggest posting on the Outlook VBA newsgroup at http://msdn.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx dg=microsoft.public.office.developer.outlook.vba&lang=en&cr=US.

In Outlook 2003, the only way to work with hidden properties and items is through a low-level API such as Extended MAPI, CDO 1.21, (or for .NET compatibilitySmile Redemption, or MAPI33.

Thank you for your reply. It was really helpful. Redemption and HiddenItems solved my problem.
