Do we need to have office 2003 installed to be able to use the above.

I have the MDIVWCTL.DLL but can not seem to add it / use it within the IDE

Hi ron,

In my opinion, you don't need to install Office 2003, but you may need to install Office 2003 Primary Interop Assemblies.

Move it from VB Express forum to VSTO forum for better responses.

Hi ron,

Office PIAs can only be used with Office installed. You need to install Office 2003 to use the document imaging viewer control.

If your machine has .NET framework, Office PIAs are installed when you install Office.

If you install .NET framework after installing Office 2003, you can intall the redistributable PIAs or reinstall the Office 2003 to let the PIAs works correctly.

Detailed information are included in the first link, which Martin posted.

Thanks
