Hi,
Which Edition of Office 2007 is required to develop custom task panes using VSTO SE
When I tried to develop the example given in MSDN ( http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa722570.aspx), i got the following errors.
  1. The type or namespace name 'Tools' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft.Office' (are you missing an assembly reference )
  2. The type or namespace name 'Interop' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft.Office' (are you missing an assembly reference )
Am I missing any reference I had created a Shared-In project for word, but not using 2007 Add-In as it was mentioned in MSDN, bcoz, that option was not available for me.

Is it something to do with the Edition of Office I am using I have Office Ultimate Edition, installed in my system. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Savita

Hi Helmut,

Thanx for the help.

I was missing "Visual Studio Tools for Office SE", as all the links i was getting from MS was leading to "Visual Studio Tools for Office SE Runtime (vstor.exe)" and not to " Visual Studio Tools for Office SE".

Thank you once again for the valuable information
