Hi,

As far as I know, no, this could not be achieved by VSTO 2005. We can only access our custom action pane¡¯s controls, but not the system task pane¡¯s list.

Thanks

Ji

Ok, even moving items from the system list cannot be achieved. As a work around, maybe you can add a Custom CommandBar on the right of Word. And then add your control to it and make it look like a Task Pane. I have heard some discussion about that before. I did not do such a thing before, so I am not very sure if it is feasible.

Hi Ji,

But the problem of the Task pane is remain as it is because I dont want to show task pane to the user because if he/she able to see the task pane then also can click on it that I dont want.

I am also hiding some of Menu Items (Command Bars) as well from the Menu so User cant access it. And I want to Hide the Task Bar as well and only want to show my custom task pane.

Hi again,

These codes will prevent user to access the Task Pane. But it is not perfect, for every time if you press F1 to show the Help Task Pane. It shows up for a sudden just before invisible again.

Code Snippet

private void ThisDocument_Startup(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{
this.CommandBars.OnUpdate += new Microsoft.Office.Core._CommandBarsEvents_OnUpdateEventHandler(CommandBars_OnUpdate);
}

void CommandBars_OnUpdate()
{
foreach (Office.CommandBar cb in this.CommandBars)
{
if (cb.Name == "Task Pane")
{
cb.Enabled = false;
cb.Visible = false;
}
}
}

Thanks

Ji

Hi Ji,

Well above Code is Fine It Hides the TaskPane control but it also hides the Document Action (Custom Task Pane also known as Action Pane) Which is one Item of the DropDown List of Task pane so above code will not work in my case I want to disaple all the dropDown Task Pane items except the Document Action (Custom Task Pane also known as Action Pane) Which is Created By me.
