Good day!

I created an Outlook add-in which I want for all users that has admin rights to be able to run the add-in, if the add-in was installed by an administrator. To test, I used a console application to add the registry entries needed. From an article MSDN, the registry keys are all under HKCU. So what I did is to put them under HKLM. But if one user installed the add-in, and another try to run it, in Outlook 2003, it doesn't appear in the COM Add-in dialog box, while in Outlook 2007, it is 'Unloaded'. Why is this so Is this really a limitation

Thank you very much.

I think Misha may cover that in his post at http://blogs.msdn.com/mshneer/archive/2007/09/04/deploying-your-vsto-add-in-to-all-users-part-i.aspx or in the comments.

Good day!

Is it possible to disable the 'Remove' button from the Add-Ins dialog box for a specific add-in Probably an additional registry entry So that the user would have to explicitly re-run the installer to remove the add-in from the machine.

Thanks.

No, that's not possible.
