Hi all,

I'm creating a Word 2007 project but when I clicked New Project and selected Word Document it says "A compatible version of Microsoft Office Word 2003 is not installed on this computer. You must install Microsoft Office Word 2003 SP1 and the Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office runtime (vstor.exe)..........." I have VS2005 and VSTO SE. Why is it asking for Word 2003

Thanks

-------------------------

I found something. VSTO2005 is not uninstalled. I uninstalled it and now all office document or template projects are gone. There is only 2007 add-in and 2003 add-in. I reinstalled VSTO2005 SE but nothing happened. I need Word Template. How can I create Word Template project

Thanks

If I'm understanding your question correctly, you're trying to create a Word Document or Word Template project for Word 2007 on a development computer that has Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office, VSTO 2005 SE, and Word 2007 installed.

There is no option for creating Word Document or Word Template projects in this configuration. The Word Document and Word Template projects in Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office require Word 2003; they cannot be created on a development computer that only has Word 2007 installed.

VSTO 2005 SE is a free add-in that can be installed on top of Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office (or one of the Visual Studio Team Edition products). VSTO 2005 SE includes only add-in projects (including projects for Word 2003 and Word 2007). This release does not provide document or template projects.

The upcoming release of Visual Studio 2008 will include Word Document and Word Template projects (also known as "document-level projects") for Word 2007. Beta 2 of Visual Studio 2008 is currently out. For more information, see http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/default.aspx.

I hope this helps,

One more question: I have several macros in my Word 2003 project. How can I add these macoros to my 2007 project and deliver my users
