    - Maximum Number of Processes Reached I am trying to setup transactional replication between Server A and Server B. There are 265 databases on each server. I am running SQL Server 2005 on Windows Server 2003. The problem comes in at the 201st database. The message in the SQL Server Agent Error Log is : Warning,[398] The job (WSSWPG09-EmpirePaint-WSSWPG06-104) has been queued because the maximum number of working threads (400) are already running. This job will be executed as soon as one of the working thread finishes execution. SQL Server's max worker threads is set to 0. The Distribution, LogReader and T-SQL subsystems have been increased to 200 max_worker_threads. Is there some other setting (maybe a Windows Registry setting) that can be configured to fix this Or have I just hit a physical maximum of the processor Any help is much appreciated. Hi, Is it possible to fix the max width of the columns Sometime the report only generates 1 or 2 columns and it looks a bit odd as they're stretched to the width of the page.     - Report Builder Query Hi Experts, I have a report model on top of a cube. I have a calculated metrics called Policy Count and different amounts in cube. When i try to create report in report builder with Policy count, amounts and different dimensional attributes it doesnt work. The problem is report builder allows me to select either Policy count in the report or the amount field. Have anyone faced this problem. The same report works in cube browser.     - Trigger / Constraint / ? Hello All I am working on a calendar system where, among other things, we are track resources by event. I.e. here is a conference room and it can only be used by one event at a time. This system also is used by various departments as a calendar for their employees, i.e. sick / vacation / out of office / etc which can be used by more than one person at a time...     - SQL DB Cleanup We have SQL SERVER 2000 Runnin on our server. We are trying to do a db cleanup, ie all tbls/views that were created earlier and are not needed any more, need to be deleted. However, is there a way, to do a cleanup in a better method, other than going thru the whole bunch of tbls/views manually,and determining which ones are needed or not and delete the ones that are not needed.     - Date part of DateTime I'm trying this simple query in SQL Server 2005: SELECT * FROM tblRecords WHERE InputDate = '1/30/2007' I have two records which have value for InputDate as 1/30/2007 12:34:12 1/30/2007 11:23:32 But the query returns no records due to the time part of the date.     - Finding the Month with only Week and Year I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this, but I'm sure there must be a way. I have a table with a column for week number and another for year. I need to find out what month this particular week fell into. I realize that some weeks will cross over two months, so I'm fine with using either the first or last day of the week which could be turned to the day of the year. Any ideas how to get the month when you only have a week number and year to work with Also, I'm not the one who decided to save just a week and a year.     - How do you handle this control flow issue, asked Mr. Newbie Greetings, I have a question about the best method to ensure the proper flow of control within a package. I have three related SQL tasks 每 A, B, and C 每 that must execute in sequence. If any one of the tasks fails then the remaining tasks should not execute because each is dependent on the previous step. (A ※success§ precendence constraint.) Likewise, I have a second set of SQL tasks 每 1, 2, and 3 每 that must execute in sequence. Task 3 should never execute unless tasks 1 and 2 have been successful. I consider these to be two independent logic paths in the same package and, indeed, when I run the package both task A and task 1 begin running at the same time. What I＊m not sure of is how to add a new task 每 Z 每 that will execute only after both the A-B-C and 1-2-3 task paths have completed. Diagramatically, this would be like having a ※completion§ constraint linking task C to task Z and another ※completion ※ constraint linking task 3 to task Z. In other words, the two independent paths merge at task Z. Task Z is an audit step that must always run 每 it emails summaries of the database activities performed by the other tasks. What has me puzzled is how I get to Z when there is a failure in either the A-B-C path or the 1-2-3 path. As things stand now, the package will never reach task Z if there is a failure in an earlier task because they are joined by a ※success§ constraint. I thought I could get around this by using a ※sequence container§ but I discovered when I added A, B, and C to a container that I couldn＊t use the ※success§ constraint I needed. I was just guessing that this might be the way to do it. Can anyone help me with a best practice approach to the control flow issue I face I＊m new if that isn＊t apparent by my question, so don＊t be afraid to make your answer simple and plain.     - Filtering a report on a DateTM field using a parameter if possible? I am currently writing a report that will use as one of the filters the date (in this case it is the date of service of a physician office visit). however the DB developers included the date and the time of the visit in one field so my resulting data set contains 4/13/2007 4:30pm for example, so using an @date parameter as a filter on the data field doesn't work because when you run the report and enter the date in the parameter it doesn't return anything.     - Map One generic Input column to multiple Destination column I have a stored proc I am updating in an OLEDB Command from the results of a Transform Script Component. The Stored Proc has over 65 input parameters, most of them have a NULL passed in. I dont want to create output columns in the Transform Script Component for all of them to map them from the "Available Input Columns" to "Available Destination Columns". I want to create 3 or 4 generic Output columns for their data type - say IntegerOutput (datatype Int), DateTimeOut (datatype datetime) and so on. The I want to map these generic columns in the OLEDB Command as Available Input Columns" to multiple "Available Destination Columns" - wherever the datatype matches the input column. But the OLEDB Command Column Mappings let me map One to One only. This will create a huge and unnecessary workload for me to develop and maintain - when I tell you I have 3 such stored procedures, all of whose interfaces are exactly same and for which I can create similar Output columns in the Transform Script Component. Use Backup/Restore method to get the Schema with data.

a. Backup Database YourDatabaseName To Disk='D:\Yourdb.bak'

b. RESTORE FILELISTONLY FROM DISK='D:\Yourdb.bak'

RESTORE DATABASE NewDBName

FROM DISK='D:\Database Backups\TTCProvidedData.BAK'

WITH MOVE'OldDatabaseDatafileLogicalName' TO 'D:\NewDBName.mdf',

MOVE OldDatabaseLogfileLogicalName' TO'D:\NewDBName_log.ldf'

change the path and db name accordingly.
