Hi Bijal,

Are you are talking about the Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)

It comes with the full install of MS SQL Server 2005, including MS Visual Studio.

So, I believe you should re-run the setup.

What do you expect to see, "SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio" Did you insall the Wokrstation Components Should/do you want the designer and development tools on a server I would ideally install only the services, and not the designer an VS shell.

You say VS is not installed, but what do you mean, the VS packaged product, or the VS IDE as used by SSIS The IDE is reused by the SSIS product as wall as VS proper with development languages. It is the same IDE, just different plug-ins.

The problem is I have created an SSIS package.I want to schedule the SSIS package. WhenI scheduled it from my workstation on that server. It fails saying package not found.. I tried storing it on the server and then scheduling it as a job but it still does not find the path. What path should I give to be able to schedule and run this package as a job every week.

Hi Biljal,

Can you paste the exact error message you're getting, and tell us more about how and where you copied it to on the server

Hi guys,

sorry for the late reply. I managed to find an answer to this.

The workstation components were not installed.

Secondly the package was created on my local machine and to deploy it on the server i need to go thru the deployment procedure mentioned in SQL Server 2005 Books online.

Thanks and sorry for the late reply
