I prefer to leave the rates in the same measure group for usability reasons and I think I have a workaround by setting the Account All member to NULL and the measure aggregate function to SUM. Let me ask a more general question. If I have an aggregate function of None, is it possible to bring up the measure leaves to the dimension leaves I haven't been successful doing so. At the same time, this is what BOL states for the None aggregate function: "No aggregation is performed, and all values for leaf and nonleaf members in a dimension are supplied directly from the fact table for the measure group that contains the measure." "Please go to Control panel to install and configure system components" is usually caused by having remnants of a previous SQL Server installation. This could be the same or an earlier version of SQL Server. It could even be a client only installation - and that is what can make it particularly difficult to troubleshoot. Any number of third party applications could install SQL client software to connect with a remote SQL Server. The presence of these items can confuse the SQL Server 2005 installer and prevent it from working.     - New User - Unable to connect Hello, Im new to SQL Server so please forgive me if I seem a tad ignorant. Any help is much appreciated. I have just installed SQL Server 2005 CTP on my machine at home in order to learn more about it. The istallation completed successfully on my home pc under XP Pro w SP2. I use the machine with Administration priveliges. There is also a local account on the machine I could use, but I never do. No password entry is required. When I launch Management Studio it gives me the option to connect to a server and lists myself as the only option. When I select this account (the same one that has administration privelidges) it attempts to connects but times out. I receive an error message saying the server actively refused the connection. I am a little confused as to the architecture of SQL Server I suspect. I have installed SQL Server on the machine, but it seems to be behaving like a client installation. Hello, I am trying to deploy a SSIS package (using deployment utility create at build time) to a different server and ran into problem wonder if someone and direct me to the right path. development environment: WIN XP, SQL 2005. package is built using server buisiness intelligence. Package content: connect to a "target"SQL2005server using OLE DB using SQL Login authentication to process data. The SQL 2005 DB is on a Win 2003 server (R2) as OS platform. The package was built, install ( SQL not file system)and ran fine on the development environement; when attempt to deploy the package to the SQL 2005 server where data reside and should be processed (also install to SQL), I receive error " 0x80004005 ...description TCP Provider: No connection could be made because the target machine activily refuse it". which is an odd error since the package is on the server that it try to connect to the data base on it.     - File Move Component Error Setting Overwrite to true will not solve this. The source file is in use, that is what your errors says. John offered one option as to why it could be "in use", so if that is not your problem, you need to find out what really has it open. Overwrite will allow you to overwrite a closed file, but not one that is still open. From your description it is actually the source file that is still in use, as you said the Delete failed. I have installed SQL Server 2005 on a machine with named instance, but later I noticed that I created it with the wrong name than desired. Now I need to change the instace name of the SQL Server that I have installed. How can I do that

There is not a supported way to rename an instance. You need to uninstall and then reinstall.
