    - Some questions about indices Hi all, we're planing to create a simple database with will work like a cache for a slow legacy system. The main work of this DB is to give results for search-queries. Each table will have up to 15 columns of different Datatypes and could contain up to 1.000.000 records. example columns of a Table: ID(int), guid (Uniqueidentifier), Subject(varchar(max)), Body(varchar(MAX)), IsComplet(bit), Startdate(DateTime), EndDate(DateTime) and so on... Typical searchqueries may be ("give me all items of a specific StartDate wich are complete" or "Give the item with the guid 'xxx-xxx...'. But also other combination are possible. Currently there are indices for the ID and guid columns.     - Restoring SQL database with failed backup I am needing to restore a SQL server 7 database. I had a backup, but the media it was on has failed. I have copies of the folder the original database was in (.mdf files and such), but I was wondering if there is a way to re-integrate these files in order to pick up where we left off. Thank you.     - Is it possible to export a database model from visio to Sql Server 2005? Yes you can. I have done this with Visio 2003 for Enterprise Architects (I think that's the edition at least), it has the ability to generate a sql script of your visio data model. I did not see this functionality in any other edition of visio 2003 (had professional before). Not sure about visio 2007.     - Sorting a table with numbers and letters I have renamed the numbers in the table (10 -> 0010) so all the numbers have 4 characters.     - Blocking in Analysis Services We have a report in Reporting Services that connects to a Cube. The report has 4 input parameters that are also derived from the same cube. If the report is running and another user tries to select the drop downs for the report or runs just the query portion in report designer, the query will not return until the report has finished.     - converting varchar to int It is clearly an SQL error which cannot be solved in SSRS using expressions. I'm assuming that your dataset is formed by a stored procedure, not plain SQL text. The error is because you are trying to put an invalid integer value into a table (temporary table or user table) column which is of INT datatype. If possible, get the SQL text of the stored procedure and check all insert/update statements and all the columns of INT datatype involved in it.     - need to determine which db is pricipal hey i did the following....Srv 1 was principal and Srv 2 was mirror....i just stopped sql services in principal and it immediately failed over to mirror coz i was having witness server......now the original principal became new mirror and original mirror became new principal...again inorder to revert back to original state i went to the db properties of the new principal and clicked failover ......immediately the new mirror reverted to original principal and new principal became original mirror........the same can also be done using T-SQL statements......sounds cool.........     - Only able to access Report Manager as Administrator There are three types of Authentification in Reporting Services: 1) Integrated Windows Authentification (Active Directory aware) is the default authentification method for the Report Server and Report Manager virtual directories. 2) Anonymous access (only suggested if used with security extensions). Anonymous access limites your ability to vary role assignment because all users will access the Report Server under the Anonymous user account. 3) Basic Authentification, which should only be used with a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection because Basic Authentification sends username and passwords to the server in clear text, which could be picked up with a network sniffer. The Integrated Windows Authentification method is preferred and widely used. Your network administrator can setup Active Directory groups on the Domain Controller, which you can then grant those groups access to Reporting Services. If you network users have Unix, Mac, Novell or Linux accounts (non-Windows accounts) then you will need to go with Forms Authentification. Forms Authentification directs a request from an unauthenticated user to an HTML form, where they are prompted to enter a username and password. Q1: can we use the Express edtion do access our data I mean for commersial purpose..

Q2: dose the Express edition stand to (30 connection) at the same time

Q3: can I add users to it
