    - Using SQL Server 2005 DM Add-in without Windows authentication I followed the steps described in http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2005/httpasws.mspx . I get a dialog saying "Test Connection failed. The connection either timed out or was lost. The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.". When trying to access the URL directly through the browser I get this error message: "Cannot connect to the configuration database. For tips on troubleshooting this error, search for article 823287 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base at http://support.microsoft.com." KB 823287 speaks of SharePoint and SQL Server, not Analysis Service... in any case, my case seems to be the 3rd option there (the account for the app pool must have permissions set in SQL Server, well, SSAS in my case). I tried these IIS settings: anonymous with a default user in a SSAS role group and basic authentication. My 2 computers are not in the same domain, so I didn't try integrated windows authentication. The quotes are used to seperate data in the CSV and allow the meta character, comma, to be allowed in data such as "$1,110.00" . By including quotes within the quoted data that breaks form. Request that single quotes be used within double quotes if needed or require an escape of the quote within the data area such as "Ficus said, \"to be or not\". Was his reply" , . The number in your example should be quoted to, so the form is not broken. Its like any computer grammar, one needs things to be consistent. What I would suggest doing is creating your first schedule so that it runs only once (that once can even be in the past). Then feel free to rename, the SQL Agent Job and set the schedule as you please, RS will recreate the schedule, but it will never run. The issue is that for some reason when I load a flat file it Empty's out columns randomly. Its happening in the Flat File Source Task. Hello,

When I reinitialized a subscription from SQL2005 db (publisher) to a SQL 2000 DB (Subscriber) and had the Upload changes before reinitialization turned on, the data from the SQL 2000 db didn't get uploaded. This resulted in a loss of 2 days worth of data.

Does anyone have any idea if there's anywhere that data is kept. (unfortunately a series of errors caused our backups to not be running on the 2000 db either).

sorry, your data is gone. I also find it hard to believe your data didn't get uploaded - how did you indicate you wanted the data uploaded Was this reinitialized from the UI

Yes it was from the UI and the box marked "Upload data before reinitialization" was checked.

I could not reproduce the problem.

I tried push and pull SQL 200 subscriptions from a SQL 2005 publication/pulisher.

Could you give me more details on what kind of subscription you have and the SP of SQL you are running on both the servers

Also can you continue to reproduce this If so, some more details and some steps would be of help.
