I created a SSIS package in a ASP.NEP application which importing data from some .dbf file. "Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0048004" happened to two tables. I had a look this exception at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345164.aspx, it says: The index is not valid. But there is no index defined in my destination table.
Does anybody how to resolve it

- "Report is being generated" As to how to make it fast, you need to either increase the horsepower of your system or optimize your SQL query. As to the spiny thingy, I believe that setting the zoom on the report viewer changes the zoom of the report once it is rendered. From what I can tell, the spiny thingy is rendered prior to the report being rendered. I think the report viewer is actually showing the spiny thingy, but your report viewer is too large and the spiny thingy always appears in the middle of the report viewer. But I thought you would get a laugh from it -it DOES almost provide your desired output. What you are describing 'seems' like a ordering or sorting process. Since the file exists, it just might not have any records in it, you'll be creating two data flows. The first data flow connects to the file and hooks to a Row Count Transformation. That's it. Store the results of the Row Count Transformation into a package-scoped variable. The second data flow is what you've already got built, just use it as is. Connect the two data flows with a precedence constraint and use the expression "@Your_Variable > 0" to execute the second data flow if there were any records coming out of the Excel file. - SQL Server 2005 Installation On Windows Vista Home Premium Hi Abdul, I know you said you've already configured IIS7 with all features, but could you verify that using the KB article at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920201/en-us (The article says beta, but it should still apply to the released version of Vista.) Occurs when SQL times out on new Windows 2003 sp2 server From a high level this sounds like an issue with the firewall, since the same client bits (and same server bits) work if they don't cross the firewall. When the client times out, it sends a small packet called the attention packet to the server. When the server recv's this packet it sends back a response called the attention ack. It could be possible that the firewall is blocking these small packets for some unknown reason, but I have never seen this before. - Global variable: MaxPledgeID used in Parameter mapping of a property in a DTS I need to understand why someone would use a global variable in a parameter mapping inside of a DTS package. The reason I ask is that I have (finally) successfully recreated a production environment involving ASP pages that push user data into a table on a SQL server across a firewall. Everything works great up to getting into the T_Pledge_Web table on my test server. However now I need to add to the DTS, an execute SQL task that in essence deletes the user data from the table on the other side of the firewall. It's basically a house keeping step. Here is the current code for this step: Delete FROM T_Pledge_Web Where ID <= The live production DTS has this house keeping step at the end of the DTS and uses this same code but with a different table name (Delete FROM T_Pledge Where ID <= ), however it also references a global variable called "MaxPledgeID". I have no idea where to find this. I've checked other tables and even the ASP pages. I realize you can't see my stuff but maybe one of you can help me think through this and in doing so I'll realize the answer. My manager doesn't want me to add this variable until I understand exactly what it's doing. He is worried something on the live table might get deleted. its nothing to do with indexes in your tables. It is most likely referring to an attempt to reference an item in a collection within your package. It suggests that your package is corrupt.
Do you get the same error when you execute the package using dtexec.exe
