    - Configuration Order I would still need to be able to set a modifier to say which configuration location I wanted to use. I have the same package that I can use to load the same file from different customers. Obviously I want the data to end up in different databases, possibly even onto different servers. So far I have a seperate SQL configuration database for each customer, however I can only tell the package to look at one configuration database, even if I use indirect configuration, per server. And their lies the only answer I have at the moment have one configuration per server, instead of managing multiple customers in different services on the same hardware. It would have been nice to be able to set the connection string for the configuration database from outside the SSIS package and have it applied before the other configurations kicked in. The effect I get at the moment is even though I use SQL Agent to set the connection string of the connection maanger I am using to access the SQL configuration, it seems to be applied after the other configurations are set and subsequently the other SQL configurations do not know where to get their properties from. We can create our own schema using CREATE SCHEMA statement.     - SQL Server Management Studio Express on Vista Home Premium (Error on attaching and detaching .mdf) Which authentication method are you using Windows Auth. or SQL Server authentication If you are using SQL Server authentication, make sure that the service account has the appropiate permissions to acces the files mentioned.     - Blocking in Analysis Services We have a report in Reporting Services that connects to a Cube. The report has 4 input parameters that are also derived from the same cube. If the report is running and another user tries to select the drop downs for the report or runs just the query portion in report designer, the query will not return until the report has finished.     - Only able to access Report Manager as Administrator Hi Chuck, Thank you so much for your reply. I have to confess to not being an expert at Windows Server configuration.. and I'm not sure whether the server I am using employs Active Directory.. How can I tell I am creating the users in Admin Tools/Computer Management/Local Users and Groups. I now have a user (MyUser) which is a member of a group (Report Users). I have added this group in Management Studio (Right Click server/Permissions) as a System User. I am also able to add it via Report Manager/Site Security, it has the same effect. What is interesting is that if I allow this group System Administrator access in Man. Studio, and I then log on as that user, I appear to have full access as I do for actual administrator users, but only within Management Studio. I still get the standard blank page (i.e. just "Home" bar but no visible reports) in Internet Explorer when connecting to Report Manager! So there would appear to be some mismatch between what permissions I have within Report Manager versus Management Studio. My guess (and it's only a guess) is that there's either some IIS configuration that's wrong, or something in the security setup is blocking access via a web interface.     - SQL Agent Roles Thank you for the article, unfortunately the domain accounts are not behaving as expected when assigning them to these roles which is why I posted my issue. The domain account is assigned to these roles and is able to create a job (the owner = the domain account). But it can't edit the job that it owns. It can start the job and delete the job but it can't see the status of the job when it is running, either. If I create a SQL Login and assign it to these same roles, it seems to behave as documented (it can edit jobs that it owns, etc.). We're using SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode. BTW this is a fresh install because I was completely and utterly unable to uninstall SqlServer2005 which was necessitated by foolishly installing Office 2007 (Office 2003 being no longer available!)
