    - Database Mail Command Not Supported - Again I have three SQL 2005 servers. Only one will send mail successfully using database mail. The only difference I can see in the way they are set up is that, in the database mail log, the server that works shows a last_mod_by of the domain account that runs SQL Server. The ones that do not work show "sa" as the last_mod_by in the database mail log. It seems that something seems to be trying execute as "sa" rather than as the domain account we wish to run everything. I cannot find where that might be set. I have gone through all the troubleshooting guides and surface area config stuff that I could find and am stumped. Does anyone have any more suggestions I am pointing all three servers to the same SMTP relay, have checked A/V to be sure port 25 blocking is not on, checked the settings in surface area config tool, etc. Anyone have any suggestions Here is a snippet of the latest few records in the log: 86 error 2007-10-24 11:28:46.280 The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. Our domain controller is running Windows 2000 (planned upgrade to 2003 this quarter though), and digest is not enabled - doing so must go through a chain of security people it seems. I have never faced a scenario where an account is getting an explicit access denied when querying information about itself and all its groups, but succeeds while querying information about other principals and objects in the AD. I agree with you, check with your AD administrator, probably they have some security policy we are not aware of that may be causing this problem. I personally don’t think the problem is regarding any permission to execute a system stored proc (EXECUTE AS should call the code directly); but let’s wait until we have more information from the AD admins regarding this issue. One more thing you can try: Can you install a test-only copy of SQL Server 2005 (i.e. SQL Server Express) using a different account for the service (it could be a different machine). Of course, entering the typed data is no problem, but I can't copy and paste specific images into individual records. Should I assume that I have to INSERT the image via some convoluted and complex QUERY or some otherwise bizarre code sequence...or is it just plain impossible.     - The multi-part identifier "TableA.act_voidCode" could not be bound Hi. I read that I can use a stored function to return a table. I created a function that takes 3 input parameters and returns a "table". The table it passes back is really a single record with just three fields that I want to select into my main query. In my test of the function, I used hardcoded values and it returned what I wanted. Now I want to use this new function by passing input data from the table it just created. As my input parameters, I have tried both TableA.act_voidCode and act.act_voidcode and get the same error. This query is intended to be a commandtext parameter, not as part of a stored procedure. Any ideas on how to get the values into/out of my new function I tried declaring some variables and setting them as part of the query and it complained about that as well. Apparently you cannot mix selecting data and setting variables within the same select code. I provided only a fraction of the selection code. In actuality, I have 6 different select statements I am doing a union on within the TableA structure. The error happens whether I have one or 6 statements, though. Part of the reason I tried to move this voidcode checking to a function was to avoid needing 12 select statements, one when the code is void, the second for when the code was not void. Here's a bit of background on what I hoped to accomplish with the function: In my data I have a void code and a request code. In my function I look up the requestcode in another table. That table has void fields and nonvoid fields. Using a case statement, the function returns either the three void or three nonvoid values.     - Export report to PDF programmatically (forms authentication) I use ReportExecutionService class to export a SQL reporting services report to a PDF file. It seems not work, and failed at method “LoadReport”. The error message said: Object moved to <ReportServer Login Page>. I think, it’s an authentication problem. The report server is set to form authentication, and I wrote a custom security DLL, and share the auth cookie with ASP.NET Web application. It works fine with ReportViewer. I set ReportExecutionService.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials. It looks like my network login windows account (MyDomainName\MyUserName), and of course it is failed. I read the ReportExecutionService class members, and can not find way to pass auth cookie, or some kind of forms authentication object into ReportExecutionService class. Does anyone render report into PDF (HTML) file successfully by ASP.NET code for forms authentication I search the sample code over internet. We have our SQL databases clustered using MSCS on X64 servers and are planning to apply SP2. During initial tests, we find that around 20-25% queries perform slow after applying SP2 compared to SP1. Just wanted to know if anyone else has found the same behavior and if there are any known patterns / issues with respect to performance for Sp2
