I'm wondering if anyone could shed some light on the following error when selecting multiple items in a pivot table.
¡°The database driver does not include necessary capabilities and cannot be used with Excel. Contact your database administrator or driver vendor.¡±

I have uninstall Office 2003 SP3 then.

We're having exactly the same problem here. Also, with SP3 recently installed. It was fine before.
So far, I haven't found any other leads as to what's happened.
Looks like SP3 crashed it. Does anyone know how to uninstall SP3

has anyone found a solution other than reinstalling office 2003 without sp3
AS and sp2 for sql2005, but i guess from the last post that it is irrelevant...I guess we have to make a case at microsoft then

The problem seems to occur when multple selections are made in a row dimension.
Its different from one dim to another, I have a cube that gives error when a dimnsion is filtered to a single selection...
Come on Microsoft give os some help here!

I installed all Microsoft and SQL Server 2005 updates, but the problem still remains.
We have also installed all patches and service packs, and the problem is still there...
Besides, now we are also having problems with processing cubes after analysis server was patched, but that is another story...
