    - Updating only changed fields I'd agree with OJ in that trying to work around SQLs locking mechanism would probably be more "expensive" than living with it as is. As far as i'm aware, the lowest level of locking is a rowlevel lock which means that no matter which fields are changing the behaviour would be the same. If performance is a problem, then i would suggest there are other ways you can improve the situation. Also with using transactional replication you need to have very fast connections between the servers. You may want to consider merge if the latency of the subscribers is not so important. I agree, the 'building the component' section is written poorly. I interpreted '- Place gacutil.exe (packaged with Visual Studio) on the system path.' as copying the gacutil.exe file to the same directory you saved the calendar transform. So I copied it from 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\Bin' to the calendar transform directory. Next I opened the opened the visual c# project in BIDS and then followed the rest of the instructions under 'building the component'. After building the project, I never saw the message "Assembly successfully added to the cache" that the documentation says I should have seen. Is this because the gacutil.exe was copied to the wrong directory Anyways, after looking at directory 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\PipelineComponents' I can see the CalendarTransform.dll is now there, but when I try to add the component to the toolbox it is still nowhere to be found.     - sql cluster - fulltext error We have a sql server 2000 active/passive cluster running on Windows Server 2003 and within the last 6 months have started getting the following errors which eventually cause the SQL Resource Group to failover. An error occurred in the configuration monitor for instance <SQL Server Fulltext>: 80070005 - Access is denied . SQL is at the latest service pack/hotfixes. (8.00.2187) This cluster has been running fine for the past 3 years with no problems. Nothing has changed on the servers. We've had Symantic Antivirus running on the servers for a long time but the FTDATA folder and the sql data and transaction logs are excluded and nothing has changed on the configuration. We also run Diskeeper 2007 server on these servers but I can't see any problems with this. Once it fails over it will run fine for several days and then the same errors will occur and it fails over again. Any ideas on what might be causing this I can't really find anything on the Microsoft site that matches this error.     - Shared SSIS Staging/Dev environment I should not have included "dev" in the environment description. The developers will be working on their own workstations. This is a shared environment to make sure everything works together, as described by jwelch. We seem to have a DBA vs. Developer culture here - so the developers are expected to debug etc. without access to SQLAgent The crux of the question was really how to accomodate more than 2 concurrent users to execute SSIS packages on a box at a given time. every time when I opened the connection from my windows CE4.2 device to sql server I got the error "Can't find PInvoke DLL 'dbnetlib.dll'.

My OS is MS CE4.2, I've installed Compact Framework 2.0 and SQL client. It worked fine at OS CE5.0 but not at CE4.2. My application is working correctly, but when I started the connection I received this error.

If you indeed have SQL Client installed properly, I would guess some dependencies required for it to function are missing from the OS image. Contact device OEM for help.
