    - Check to see if file exist on server Hi Folks, After getting this to work in BIDS, we moved to Report Server and it's not working. I added embedded code as per my prior threads. I'm not getting a error it just does not reflect the changes I made with BobP's help.     - sql cluster - fulltext error We have a sql server 2000 active/passive cluster running on Windows Server 2003 and within the last 6 months have started getting the following errors which eventually cause the SQL Resource Group to failover. An error occurred in the configuration monitor for instance <SQL Server Fulltext>: 80070005 - Access is denied . SQL is at the latest service pack/hotfixes. (8.00.2187) This cluster has been running fine for the past 3 years with no problems. Nothing has changed on the servers. We've had Symantic Antivirus running on the servers for a long time but the FTDATA folder and the sql data and transaction logs are excluded and nothing has changed on the configuration. We also run Diskeeper 2007 server on these servers but I can't see any problems with this. Once it fails over it will run fine for several days and then the same errors will occur and it fails over again. Any ideas on what might be causing this I can't really find anything on the Microsoft site that matches this error. Note: This has also just started happening on our test cluster which is an identical configuration. Tag: Big problem

The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Internal error: An unexpected exception occured. Internal error: An unexpected exception occured.. The time of the error in the event viewer seems to correspond with the step in the ETL that processes our AS 2005 database (Analysis Services Command Task). The job step reports success, and the data is refreshed so I don't understand why it is reporting an error in Event Viewer. The server is x86 with SQL 2005 sp2 installed.     - How to Add Subscription or Subscribers manually through scripts instead of programming Hello everyone, I am new for SQL SERVER 2005 NS. I have gone through some samples about NS. Most of them add subscriptions and subscribers through vbs or .net application. So I got some questions to ask for your help: 1. I just wonder if there are some ways for me to add subscriptions and subscribers manually through T-SQL scripts instead of programming. Because sometimes, we don't need to ask our users to subscribe our message. 2. Is that possible for NS to send notification by SMTP without adding subscription For example, I have already populated all emails from database, what I need is just to send simple notes to these emails, and at this time, I don't need users to subscribe them. I just need to get NS works as database mail at this point - only send email notification without subscription. I am not sure if this is possible.     - Shared SSIS Staging/Dev environment I should not have included "dev" in the environment description. The developers will be working on their own workstations. This is a shared environment to make sure everything works together, as described by jwelch. We seem to have a DBA vs. Developer culture here - so the developers are expected to debug etc. without access to SQLAgent The crux of the question was really how to accomodate more than 2 concurrent users to execute SSIS packages on a box at a given time.     - Dimension Writeback Hello Mosha. I am most sure I am wrong because I have only seen dimension writeback in the SSAS2000 dimension editor. I can only remember IntelligentApps as a client that used it, if I am not wrong. It is not in ProClarity or previous versions of Excel(before 2007) From my professional point of view we have had a lot of problem with cell writeback before SSAS2005. Dimension writeback is actually good because it have helped with shortcomings in products like Cognos Controller. But this is only as a centralized feature in order to add accounts that are missing in that Cognos product. What you can do by writing code is a different story.Perhaps I was not clear enough on that point. Would you recommend client dimension writeback, from the point of having a UDM and a single version of the truth Edit: Another question.     - Infinite Loop while cube processing in SSAS 2005 SP2 Hi, We build the cube, quite large one processing 4 million records of data daily. It was working fine in SSAS 2005 Service Pack 1. But recently Service Pack 2 for SSAS came out, in the releases notes it said SP2 solves some of the issues we had on the drillthrough. So, after applying SP2 on the production server, running on 32 bit Windows 2003 SP2, the ETL process is stuck. It stuck while processing the cube, on large dimension. I was wondering whether microsoft released hotfix for this issue or anyone else had this problem. I note again, that whole thing was working fine under SSAS 2005 SP1 environment, but i believe in SP2 there is some flaw that leads to infinite loop while processing the cube.     - SSAS cube deployed failed I am building one cube with one dimesion table and one fact table in SQL2005SP2. After the cube is created and I got the following error during the deployment 1. Internal error: The operation terminated unsuccessfully. 2. Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while processing the 'Open AR' partition of the 'Open AR' measure group for the 'Solomon DW' cube from the Analysis Services Project2 database. 3.Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The process operation ended because the number of errors encountered during processing reached the defined limit of allowable errors for the operation. I then go to the partition and complete the aggration wizard without any problems. But I am still getting the same error when I try to deploy the cube. When i try to connect to SQL Server 2005 Express for rda pull i've an error:

I've Windows Vista, Visual Studio 2005 Sp1 + Sp for Vista, Sql Express 2005, SQL Compact Edition (SQL CE 3.1).

I've write
