Hello,

If I want to access or modify my local subscription data(not the configuration) how can I do that(from sql server 2005 or from asp.net) Also can i update directly to the local subscriptions data or do I need another layer which will update from a table for example

Thank you

Salah

You can change the subsciption tables directly. However this may cause non-convergence between the publisher and subcriber and may incur other consequences. For example if you delete a row at the subscriber, and later on it is deleted at the publisher, when distribution agent tries to apply this delete, it does not find this row at the subscriber (since you previously deleted it there), and distribution agent will fail.

For tables published in a merge publication, you can modify the tables directly, you don't need a layer to do so. ISQLW, osql.exe, sqlwb, etc. will all work.
