Hi All,

Are the fixes on SQL Server SP3a cumulative to SQL Server SP4

I have issue occuring on SQL Server with SP4 installed. The error is "SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 788 generated fatal exception c0000005 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. SQL Server is terminating this process" which I believe are fixed on the SP3a.

Fixes that are specific to SP3a

814572 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814572/) FIX: SQL Server does not start and an access violation occurs after you install SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3

Is it advisable if I will just have to uninstall the SP4 and install the SP3a I'm thinking that this might resolve the issue.

Please advise,

Thanks in advance,

Larry

Yes, SP4 is a cumulative service pack. It includes all fixes from the previous SPs:
