This should be so easy.

All I want to do is have a cumalative counter that counts from 1 to whatever.

any ideas how i can do this

Thanks. That worked... I couldn't see it in the list of common functions...

Actually, that didn't work. It still doesn't provide a proper counter.

No matter wich grouping, dataset or nothing. It doesn't work right for me.

I have items that only print on a group footer, and on that group footer is where I need to put some kind of line incrementation, either in code or via function. But I am still looking.

Put this in your code window:

Dim numFooterRow as Double

Function GetRowNumber() as Double
numFooterRow += 1
Return numFooterRow
End Function

Then put this in your footer row textbox

= Code.GetRowNumber()

This will increment every footer row. If you need to start over at some point the code will need to change.
