I have a Sql execute task, which has a select query which returns back a column value(always one value). I need to store that into a user variable. Do i add a resultset type, and if so which one Also do i add a new parameter in the param mapping window, with direction of output Please let me know, since I need to store the resultset value to a user variable. Thanks.

ResultSet = Single Row

No parameters unless you need to pass them into your query.
