The C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9_Hotfix_KB921896_sqlrun_sql.msp.log file is a 5mb file that I can't make much sense out of...here are the first many lines of the file. I'll be glad to provide more information - just let me know what you need to know...

Another post directed me towards this KB article - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916766 - but my account has administrator access and all the db files have full control

Thanks for the quick reply - I did try that, but i don't get an option to Complete the Suspended Installation - my only 2 options are:

• Change Installed Components
• Remove Microsoft SQL Server

If I click the Change option, it appears that it's going to re-install my system data files and the other tools I'm hesitant to go this route right now b/c we have a lot of activity on this current DB

OS error 3 is file not found. This looked like a SQL 2000 upgrade artifact in the registry. I created a folder at the location, reran setup and it worked!
