It is being updated to reflect the correct information. SQL Server Compact Edition bits are not yet publicly available for Win CE .NET 4.2 devices. Shortly after I got a second different response: " Yes, we support SQL Server Compact Edition for CE.Net 4.2. Currently it is released as a hot fix, you need to contact PSS to get the drop locations. As you mentioned the KB article title is very misleading. Actually the KB article is to fix the support for Win CE 4.2. We will change the title of the KB article."     - What solutions make returning from a disaster easier? I didn't know about peer-to-peer replication. I started researching it in BOL and it looks pretty good, right up to the point where it said: Use of identity columns is not recommended. In some of our databases, we not only use identity columns, but we use them as foreign keys in other tables, so the workarounds don't seem to help. Nonetheless, in some of our other database (where we don't use identity columns), this looks like a feasible option. So, now I'm up to database mirroring. I'm going to give that a try....     - SSIS Connection Manager passwords I downloaded Service Pack 1 for Visual Studio 2005, Version 8.0.50727.762 (SP.050727-7600), but I still get this error message. I tried the SA username and password for the connections in connection manager, but even after I checked the save password box and close the connection and reopen, it gives me the following error message: "Test connection failed because of an error in intializing provider. I had to add SUM(Fields!Rejections.Value) and SUM(Fields!Amount) to add the rejections and amounts up for each line per week, but in all, it did work! I bet you assumed I knew that, but I didn't, but I did figure it out. Now my issue is how do I make it so it shows all the weeks Refer to my goal example above. I was able to replicate Jarret's results, but I'd like it to show the missing weeks of 2,3,5,6 with 0 values. Keep in mind there are no data that falls into these weeks, I just want to display the weeks and show 0 as values for both rejections and amounts. In almost all situations, the use of a CURSOR in a TRIGGER is a very bad idea. It increases the lenght of the TRANSACTION, holding locks longer than necessary, increasing the chance of blocking behavior. Almost always, a CURSOR in a TRIGGER is the result of not understanding how to process SET based data. My recommendation: Post the entire TRIGGER code and the TABLE DDL. Folks here will help you determine if there is a more efficient method to accomplish the task. You will get excellent assistance to make your database operate more efficiently. Indeed, the guy's principal ID never is added to the rolemembers table when I check off the role for that guy's login or use sp_addrole. Either I don't have permissions (which I do - Admin) or something is overriding this guy's role configuration.     - SQL databases and SBS 2003 I have run into this issue repeatedly when installing applications on SBS 2003. The application needs a database and looks for one when installing. It sees the SQL 2000 databases pre-installed on SBS 2003 for monitoring and reporting and assumes it can use them. Ultimately the program grinds to a halt because these instances cannot be used for the application (I'm assuming). The program should install it's own instance of SQL . I end up spending quite a bit of time mending the installation by manually installing some "lite" version of SQL and piecing it to the application. Is there anyway to use the existing SBS 2003 SQL databases for a new app, like a backup program There is no SQL management software on SBS 2003, so how is that done Should I always install a new instance of SQL server for a new application I would love to see some official documentation on how to do this. Do you know if there is a way to get a value from a specific level in the hierarchy I can get the values I need but I have a problem to write the mdx question that will give me the percent value as answer. With one of these code samples I get the values that I want to divide in the calculated measure (They give the same result) 1. Code Snippet distinctcount ([Customer].[Customer]. members ) 2. The values are from the same code sample so Vendor1s value of 10 uses the same code as the Article1s value (distinctcount([Kund].[Kund]. members )) And Code Snippet distinctcount([Customer].[Customer]. members ) / distinctcount([Customer].[Customer]. members ) wont work of course I want to have a calculated measure that dont change when I drill down Vendor. Like: A B Vendor1 10 10 Article1 8 10 Article2 5 10 Article3 10 10 Vendor2 26 26 Vendor3 54 54 Then I just need to divide A / B*100 and I have the value that I need.     - SQL 2005 Pull Subscriber stuck "Uploading data changes to publisher" I haven't run the profiler yet, but all dependet objects are included in the publication. While doing some more testing, I realized that the two suspect subscribers have another symptom in common. A simple update query on a simple table with 10 rows took over a minute on both databases. I looked in the activity monitor and couldn't find any locks on the object. As soon as I stopped the merge agent at the subscriber, the query ran instantly! I started the agent back up, and again, the query took over a minute. Is my best option to just drop and recreate the subscriptions This is possible now, since we aren't in production yet and the amount of data being reintialized is small enough to replicate within a few hours. I keep getting the error setup message. Unable to execute file code 1155 Shellexecute Ex failed. I haven't a clue what this means except it won't connect me to the site and I have paid for this and entered the code. I've altered my firewall to accept it in case it was this but still no luck.Is it a fault with the company or my computer Many thanks in advance.
