Pawel W.

Hi,

I'm trying to rehost designer in my application with a help of samples from SDK, MSDN Magazine , Hands on lab and other. What I have noticed recently, i that when using IF ELSE ACTIVITY and creating declarative rules, when I want to have access to public properties of other activities it is impossible becouse of lack of type information. I also cannot cast explicitly varialbes.( It happens eg. in Designer Rehosting sample ).

Any idea how to make that rule designer work like in visual studio 2005

Thanks,

Pawe

Re: Windows Workflow Foundation Rehosting designer - Rule condition editor

Pawel -

The thing is there is a bug where in a XOML Workflow to work with the recently added activities in the Rules editor you have to save the workflow first and then reopen the editor to work with the activities.

Can you try that

Thanks,

Kushal.

This issue seems to be related to this other one - http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/showpost.aspx postid=1420727&siteid=1 - that one isnt resolved either, but you might want to check that post (you can sign up for alerts on that post)

Thanks!

I didn't try technique to save open becouse it doesn't suit to my application behaviour Smile

But what I have done, is just use dependency property Smile I helped.

So if I have activity MyActivity with property Data, I cannot directly access it in rules designer. But what I can do, it to bind property Data to property on the Workflow. Now I can access MyActivity.Data using workflow property, for me it is enough for now on Smile

Thanks for support,

Pawe
