Hi,

in our application we sometimes have to delete some files in a folder with many other files ( ~20000 files in folder). We use SHFileOperation to delete for example two files in such a folder. On net shares we now get response times of about 2 minutes on a Vista system, on a XP system it is done in less than a second.

Any hints would be great...

A thought, are you setting the FOF_ALLOWUNDO flag in the SHFILEOPSTRUCT What are your parmeters for this struct

In general, if a solution can't be found by playing with the struct then this is potentially a copy perf bug related to recycle changes but I'm not seeing any bugs directly related to this. Utimately if you can't find a solution, I'd report this to Microsoft or if you're a partner, create an incident.

We already checked all the possible flags. I'll report it now to the support of microsoft.

Thanks,
