I am in some serious need of some help. I am trying to install Microsoft Office 2003 on my Laptop and for some reason Vista keeps giving me the error "This requested operation requires elevation". What does that mean And what can I do to install my software

I insert the disc and the menu pops up. When I click on installing the program it gives me the error.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Rodney

I had this problem and to get around it had to go to Control Panel>User Accounts.

Click on the "Turn User Account Control on or off" and turn off UAC.

Hope this helps you.

As given by Rodney in Martch 2007, go to
Control panel
user accounts
double click 'user accounts'
click 'turn user account control on or off'
turn it off

then the program will install. Make sure you turn on user account control when you've finished.
I hope that helps.
