hello,

wahou, I know, very long title but I wanted to make it explicit.

We have a windowed DirectX9 application in Internet Explorer embedded in an ATL.

When Vista composition is enabled, if I open a web page containing our control, and use the vertical scrollbar I experience flickering in our rendering window.

The only solution I see for now is to disable composition when starting our plugin.

I have seen

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp url=/library/en-us/shellcc/platform/shell/programmersguide/dwm/dwm_composition_ovw.asp and can not find another solution.

I'll off course disable composition when switching to fullscreen but I would like to keep it when windowed (final user may say "hey .. where is my transparency ")

The D3D9 rendering of our IE plugin is done in a separate thread.

Is it a syncho issue VSynch issue

Do you, Microsoft guys have a suggestion

thx

Hi Matthew,

I suppose you guys are very busy with Vista public release but will you be able to find some time for this issue before the final release

For now I disabled Aero when the application starts. It is enabled back when the application quits

-Nope-

Hate to ask for this but would it be possible to attach a small sample that reproes the issue
