Hi,

Umm, I may be way over my head here, but I need to simulate actual input from the mouse DEVICE itself. I want to write data into the i/o que of the mouse before it is processed by the system, or windows, or whatever processes mouse input. I was wondering, if possible, how would I go about doing that I can't use virtual mouse functions(like SendMessage with WM_MOUSEDOWN) of any kind because they won't work for my purpose. If someone could even give me a vague idea of how I could achieve this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Viorel.

I would suggest the mouse_event and SendInput functions [http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms646260.aspx].

mouse_event and SendInput APIs are a good place to start, or if you want to get even closer to the metal, you can write your own mouse driver. Look into the DDK.
