Hi,

     I'm instaled windows vista beta 2 ultimate version(build 5384) yesterday. When i test .net application version 2.0, the application throw one exception. I try drag ".exe" file to command(cmd32.exe) to see the error but vista doesn't accept this. What's happen This doesn't work more This is very important to microsoft developer platform .

This may be a way to force to leave use of comand prompt operations.

Sadly, this functionality was a victim of Vista's stricter security policies. Csrss is a high-privilege process and you can't drag/drop to a process with higher security.

So how do we run a batch file without it closing after execution allowing us to see the console results

At leat if you are going to remove a helpfull feature like that, make it easy in some other way to achieve the same thing.

Shift-Right click on the file, select "Copy as Path" then right-click on your command window to paste the filename in.

"WOW" that's so easy and intuitive!
