Is anyone having a problem with the change in behaviour that Vista has with respect to clicking on the Taskbar icon of your application, while the main frame has been minimized after opening a dialog window, causes the main frame to restore in size. Pre-Vista this would not happen, instead the opened dialog would activate and gain focus, but in Vista the main frame restores size and nothing is in focus.

I am using MFC

Any help is appreciated,
Roger Bassous

PS: If this has been a problem for any of you, have you used any work around Is Microsoft aware of this change in behaviour\defect

I see you're still working on that bug ridden product aka TestPartner! Don't waste your waking hours fixing bugs after bugs. There's plenty of better things to do then just fixing bugs. Is Mr Baldy still crackling his whip LOL

Your link does NOT provide any answer at all... This does not change the fact that the behavior of the taskbar has changed from XP to Vista...

Do I know who you are

You might be looking in the wrong place. Even if Vista did change the behavior of the taskbar icon, TestPartner should adapt to the changes. We all know that Microsoft will continually change it's operating systems. As third party software goes, they must adapt to the changes in the underlining OS. I have my name scattered throughout TestPartner's codebase. Smile

Yes, well what I'm trying to find out is, if this change by Microsoft was intentional, or is this a defect they dont know about... I have a ticket open with thier support and they can't figure out why it behaves different (hmm, go figure, Microsoft themselves can't figure out why there code behaves the way it does). But if they do deem this as working as designed, we will change our code...

Do you still work here
