Hi All Techies,

Don't know whether i can ask this question in this forums or not, but my question is i had windows server 2003 OS in my machine, Now i am trying to install vista into this machine. When i am trying to boot from the cd it is not booting at starup, it is loading win 2003, so i ran setup.exe from vista software folder, Vista is installed, my problem is windows 2003 software folders are also there. What i want to do is to format the System and then try to install vista. THis is not happening, can anyone help on this.

THanks In Advance,

Karthikeyan.

did you change your BIOS so that it's set to boot from a CD before it tries to boot from the hard drive

Hi, System is booting from cd only, what happened i copied vista s/w from harddrive to dvd. So what's wrong probably the booting will not go right through Nero. It might be a problem.

My Req:- I want to format the win 2003 s/w and then install vista, but vista will not boot from dvd.

How to do this Can anyone help on this

Thanks In Advance,

karthikeyan.

yeah, copying the software over will not make a bootable CD/DVD. If you're using NERO, there is a "Make a bootable CD/DVD" option. This is a lot easier, however, if you have an MSDN subscription, download their .iso file, and just use that.
