I am familiar with using directshow to capture portions of your screen.

Two questions:
- is it possible to capture the data in a minimized window (i.e. does not appear on the screen), if so how What is the buffer one should read

- is it possible to capture the data for a hardware accelerated window (i.e. an advanced video game), if so how What is the buffer one should read

Thanks
Eric

#1 I dont know, but other broadcasters I associate with move the window off screen to the right or left and do the cature there.

#2 yes, but my scope of knowledge can only tell you to grab the overlay before the game does and force it to use software rendering.

Google will reveal, it has been asked/answered many times.

As to the buffers in particular, I never done it, but will also vary by hardware capabilities and content(ie directX features used)
