Hi,

I am using the WMAsfWriter to convert DVR-MS files to WMV. My Filter Graph looks like this:

--> Decrypt (Audio) --> MPEG2 Audio Decoder -->
Source: Test.dvr-ms WMAsfWriter (test.wmv)

--> Decrypt (Video) --> MPEG2 Video Decoder -->

This filter graph worked on Windows XP MCE 2005 but seems to fail on Windows Vista. The error I get on GraphEdit is:

"At least one pin is already connected."

Btw, I am using C#.

Did anyone run into this already

Thanks,

Olcay

Re: DirectShow Development WMAsfWriter issue on Windows Vista?

Ok what I got so far is, that the profile seems to be the issue. On Windows XP the WMAsfWriter worked even without a *.PRX profile loaded. Default was something like 320x240 but it did work even if it wasn't configured.

However, I have played with a few profiles created with the profile editor (comming with the Windows Media Encoder 9) and the build in profiles and some of them work but I wasn't able to create a working video + audio wmv file.

I will give this another try tonight - hope to figure out what the issue really is...

I have tryed to create the graph on my own not using IntelliConnect and it looks like the WMAsfWriter has no Video Input Pin! I have tryed to load a system defined profile and also a PRX-file which defines video & audio input.

Is there a know issue that the profile may not gets loaded / applyed

I can connect all filters except of the MPEG2 Video Decoder to the WMAsfWriter.

Thanks!

Finally found out what the issue is. It's not because of Windows Vista or changes comming with Windows Vista.

WMAsfWriter doesn't work with digital recordings like from DVB-T. It's works perfect with analog recordings.

Does anyone know how I could get this working with digital recordings Missing one or more transformation filters

Thanks,
