Hey out there,
I have a Sequential workflow I have written and published as a web service. I need to implement tracking for the workflow. However, every example I have found shows hosting the workflow inside another ASPNet application. I have tried multiple iterations and variations on this theme and nothing seems to work correctly. I don't get any faults running the WF, however, Microsofts "WorkflowMonitor" sample app crashes with a "GetWorkflow" error every time I fire up the workflow. I then have to MANUALLY clean up the tracking database before it will run properly again.

Does anyone out ther have a SIMPLE VB.Net based example of doing this

TIA

Don

The post here should help you resolve your problem with WorkflowMonitor. There is a sample of a workflow published as a web service being called from a WinForms app here, but it is C# not VB.

Thanks a Million! That got me pointed in the right direction. As it turns out, my implementation of tracking in the web service was fine. The problem was in the tracking app. I tried the app.config solution but could not (for some reason) get that to work. However, that got me thinking about what the app is trying to do. It was then that I decided to add a reference to my workflow .dll and Shazzam! it works as advertised. The only thing is that with a complex workflow, the monitor application is VERY slow to respond. I can work with that though. Thanks again for the help!
